I've spent forty years navigating every major technology transition. This one is different - and the opportunity it creates around human knowledge is unlike anything we've seen before.
That conviction, and nearly a decade of work to address it, is what RAGMI Labs is built on.
Founded an independent telecoms consultancy at a moment when the industry was being deregulated and rebuilt from the ground up. Learned to navigate C-Suite conversations, commercial complexity, and rapid technology change simultaneously.
Migrated into internet consulting as the web transformed every industry it touched. Set up and ran one of the UK's largest Internet Service Providers. Advised organisations navigating a technology shift that most of them didn't yet understand. Watched the boom, the crash, and the quiet rebuilding that followed.
Transitioned into software development as mobile platforms created entirely new categories of product. Built across Mac, iOS, and beyond - developing the technical depth that would eventually make RAGMI possible.
Started building LifeStories, a Mac application for preserving personal life stories. The problem was clear: human memory and context were being lost, and there was no good tool to capture and structure them. The beginning of nearly a decade of work on human knowledge preservation.
Rebuilt and extended the concept across two applications - FolioPro for Mac and FolioPlayer for iOS. Released both on the App Store. The core methodology for structured human knowledge capture was developed and refined through this period, even without the AI infrastructure to fully realise it.
When OpenClaw emerged in early 2026, everything changed. FolioPro became RAGMI. The Human Context Protocol was created as the export standard.
RAGMI is a Mac application that lets individuals build their Human RAG layer - a structured record of their life, memories, relationships, and timelines that an AI agent can genuinely understand.
It exports in Human Context Protocol format: a dual-layer standard combining structured JSON-LD data with AI-optimised Semantic Markdown. Load it into your OpenClaw agent once, and it knows you.
Everything is stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is transmitted to RAGMI servers. Ever.
RAGMI Labs is the research vehicle behind both RAGMI the application and the Corporate RAG methodology.
The project sits at the intersection of two related problems: giving individual AI agents genuine understanding of the people they serve, and giving organisational AI agents genuine understanding of the knowledge their people carry.
Both problems are solved by the same underlying methodology. The Human Context Protocol is the technical foundation of both.
